چکیده

Objectives: Uterine artery Doppler is frequently used in the first trimester and it one of more effective measurement methods prediction preeclampsia intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). Progesterone a hormone that quite various indications obstetrics gynecologic practice. We aimed to investigate influence progesterone on uterine pulsatility index (PI) at 11–14 gestational weeks. Material methods: This study retrospective case-control conducted Selcuk University Faculty Medicine between January December 2019. PI values patients using were compared with not progesterone. was measured two times, left right. Then mean calculated. All measurements made by operators same ultrasonography machine. Results: A total 288 patients, 140 148 included study. Demographic characteristics similar groups (p > 0.05). There no significant differences right values. difference for average < Conclusions: has PI. However, prospective studies which all potential confounding factors are considered including serum levels needed this subject.

Effects of vaginal progesterone suppository on uterine artery resistance in women with threatened abortion

Introduction: Adequate levels of progesterone and efficient uteroplacental circulatory system are considered as two important factors in maintaining normal pregnancy. Conspicuously, increased vascular resistance in the uterine artery can lead to severe complications including threatened abortion by an impairment to the embryo’s blood supply. This study was conducted to determine whether vaginal...

Uterine artery pulsatility index in hypertensive pregnancies: When does the index normalize in the puerperium?

OBJECTIVE To investigate whether the uterine artery pulsatility index (UtA PI) of hypertensive pregnancies is higher than that of normal pregnancies in the puerperium, as well as in the antepartum period. METHODS The UtA PI was measured in hypertensive (group 1) and normal pregnancies (group 2) during antepartum, immediate postpartum or late postpartum periods. Using the transvaginal approach...

Uterine artery pulsatility index at 30-34 weeks' gestation in the prediction of adverse perinatal outcome.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the potential value of uterine artery (UtA) Doppler at 30-34 weeks' gestation in the prediction of adverse perinatal outcome. METHODS This was a screening study in 30 780 singleton pregnancies at 30-34 weeks. UtA pulsatility index (UtA-PI) was measured and the values were converted to multiples of the median (MoM) after adjustment for variables relating to maternal ch...

Reference Ranges for Uterine Artery Pulsatility Index during the Menstrual Cycle: A Cross-Sectional Study

BACKGROUND Cyclic endometrial neoangiogenesis contributes to changes in local vascular patterns and is amenable to non-invasive assessment with Doppler sonography. We hypothesize that the uterine artery (UtA) impedance, measured by its pulsatility index (PI), exhibits a regular pattern during the normal menstrual cycle. Therefore, the main study objective was to derive normative new day-cycle-b...
